Library Services

Services are free unless otherwise noted.  Some services require a valid library card.  Click here for Frequently Asked Questions.

List of Services:

Book & Media Borrowing: Library cardholders can check out books, audiobooks, DVDs, and CDs for free.

Copy/Print: Printing is available from library computers, personal computers, and mobile devices for a fee. Copying is also available at the self-service Library Document Station. Costs for both services are $0.10 per black and white page, $0.50 per color page. 50 page limit per patron, per day.

Fax:  Faxing is available from the self-service Library Document Station. Faxing costs $0.25 per page, up to a 20-page limit. Faxing services are cash-only; please bring coins or dollar bills for payment.

Wireless Internet:  The library has wireless internet available to patrons and visitors. No library card or password is required to use library wi-fi.  In addition, mobile internet hotspots are available for 1-week checkout to adult patrons in good standing.

Interlibrary Loan:  Interlibrary loan allows patrons to borrow books from other libraries around the country that are not in the local collection.  There is a $3.25 postage charge per item. 

Tax Forms:  During tax season, the library provides paper tax forms freely to the public, pending receipt of the forms from the IRS. Forms and booklets are available as supplies are received. Please contact the library to confirm availability.

Notary Services: Select managers will notarize prepared documents with notarial certificates attached, at no cost. For more information, read our Notary Services Policy. Please call to confirm that a staff notary is available.

Satellite Collections:  We will host and help to manage Little Free Library collections at the Wells Branch Recreation CenterGet more information about satellite collections here.

Proctoring Services: The library does not provide proctoring services. However, there are various organizations in the Austin area that do proctor exams.
