Library News for November 30, 2012

Holiday Giving and Fines Reduction: 

Throughout December, the library will be accepting donations for the Capital Area Food Bank.  For every item you donate, we will reduce your library overdue fine by $1 for up to 1/2 of your total overdue debt.  

Fines for damaged or lost items cannot be reduced.

What should I donate?
    * Healthy, non-perishable food
    * Items with intact, un-opened, packaging
    * Items with non-breakable packaging (no glass, please)
    * Food within the expiration date on the packaging

Staci Gray Concert Saturday, December 8th at 11am A free, fun holiday concert the whole family will enjoy.  Space is limited, so don't be late!
	Holiday Ornament Making Sunday, December 9th 2 sessions: 1:30pm & 4pm Families and friends get together for an afternoon of creating one-of-a-kind ornaments.  Fun for all ages.  Space is limited.
Polar Express Pajama Party Friday, December 14th 2 sessions:  6pm & 7:30pm Registration begins November 30 Join us for crafts, cookies, cocoa and a bedtime reading of The Polar Express.  Parents, bring your cameras- Santa will be here!

After-School Programs for kids ages 5+ Wednesdays at 4:30pm 1st Wednesday - Brain Games - Fun and challenging board and video games. 2nd Wednesday - Comic Club - Explore new comics, learn to draw, and do crafts. 3rd Wednesday - Wacky Science - Hands-on, messy science experiments. 4th Wednesday - LEGO Club - Free play with LEGOS and LEGO guides.
Learn a language online- FREE! Have you tried our Mango Languages Database? This service is FREE to all Wells Branch Library patrons and teaches you, step-by-step, and of over 30 languages.
	Facebook, Twitter, HELP!  If you need some guidance through the social media world, come to our free workshop on Saturday, November 17th at 1pm.  Learn to create and use a Facebook or Twitter account, and how to protect your privacy.
