Learn And Build (LAB)

Currently our building is closed to the public. But we're still learning and making things! Join us on Zoom for weekly crafting and social sessions.

Join the Wells Branch Community Library DIY group as we work on new projects and techniques, get help on tricky issues, and just enjoy spending time with other crafters.

The Learn And Build (LAB) Makerspace is closed until further notice due to the pandemic.

Have a DIY project to complete? Work on it in the Wells Branch Learn And Build (LAB), our community crafting space! In the LAB, adult patrons with accounts in good standing can use the tools and equipment featured in our DIY classes to work on projects of their own, including:

Open LAB Hours

The LAB is available for drop-in use twice weekly:

  • Sundays between 1 and 4 p.m.
  • Wednesdays between 4 and 6 p.m.

Scheduling an Appointment

Library patrons can schedule an appointment to use the LAB and receive staff assistance with their projects. Appointments are generally available Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays between noon and 4 p.m. Appointments can be scheduled online.

The fine print:

  • Only adult patrons (ages 18+) are allowed in the LAB.
  • Space is limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis.
  • LAB users must read and agree to the library's policies.
  • Food and drinks aren't allowed in the LAB.
  • We'll provide the tools and equipment, but please bring your own materials and consumables.
