Board of Trustees

The trustees meet at 7:00 PM on the second Monday of the month at the library. All meetings are posted and open to the public. The Board of Trustees is governed by a set of by-laws, which are reviewed annually.  5 trustees are elected for 2 year terms to oversee the District. Trustees must live within District boundaries to serve. Elections are held in May of each year. (see calendar for election dates)

 

Library Board approves budget for 2008. The board approved budget includes a $5k increase in spending for books and materials. see budget

Short Term Goals (2007-8)

 1.  On-line card catalog will be customized.

 2.  Strengthen the adult collection by weeding and targeted purchasing.

 3.  Implement one new or expanded marketing activity quarterly.

 4.  Acquire display equipment/furnishings and deploy within 6 months.

 5.  Enhance the curb appeal to promote use of outdoor spaces.

 6.  Library procedures will be complete, clear and up to date.

Long Term Goals (2006-8)

1.  Maintain financial stability
2.
  Facilitate increased utilization of the facility

3.  Provide adequate and appropriate materials

4.  Develop marketing plan for library

5.  Determine and meet technology needs of community

6.  Provide appropriate levels of staffing to serve community needs

7.  Continue to excel in areas the library serves the community well
