Fridays are story time days at the Wells Branch Community Library!

Fridays at 10:00 am: 0-18 months.  Mother Goose Story Time is a first library experience for infants to enjoy with an adult—includes songs finger plays, and social time.  Get ready to read board books aloud and sing! 

Fridays at 10:45 am: 18-36 months.  Toddler Story Time.  We’ll warm up with finger games and songs, read a good book, and finish the class with a cleaver craft!  Come early as space is limited.

Fridays at 11:30 am: 4-5 years.  Preschool Story Time is a group for the big kids (Pre-K) to sing songs, read a story and make a great craft!

Fridays at 12:15 pm: 12-24 months: Monkey in the Middle is designed for walkers who are not ready for a traditional toddler story time.  We will read board books aloud and sing songs to your children’s favorite musicians!


Other Ongoing Programs

Arts & Crafts@ the Library!  A special program for kids 8+, parents and families to do a craft every Wednesday at 6:00 p.m. First come first served on projects. for info

Wacky Science every Wednesday at 5:00 p.m.!  Join in on the wacky and weirdness of science with sticky projects and surprising experiments!  This program is for kids 8+; please bring an oversized shirt in case of messy projects.  

Sign Language Story Time!

Baby Sign time meets every other Tuesday at 2:00-2:30 p.m. April 8th and 22nd

Friday Story Time Themes

2       Happy Feet!  Let’s read a book on dancing and make our own jumping puppet!

9       Music Makers!  After reading about the wonderful world of music, we’ll make our own “energetic shakers”!

16      Color Your World!  How many colors can you make with two, or three?  We’ll learn about colors and make our own “color mixing bag”!

23      Puffy Paint Pictures!  Watch paintings turn #3-D with homemade puffy paint!  We’ll also learn about an artist or two…

30      Snack Time, Please!     Let’s read a story about a hungry character and make our own woven placemats!
